SPARX (STEM Professionals Amplifying Resilience and eXcellence) welcomes everyone, with a focus on Edmonds School District youth and FRC teams. Our goal is to inspire and boost confidence in girls and non-male youth through diverse female STEM professionals.

Senior Director, BDS Senior Management System at Boeing 

Angela Hall

Angela is a senior aerospace leader at Boeing, overseeing the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) for Boeing Defense, Space & Security. A licensed pilot with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management and a minor in Business from San Jose State University, Angela brings decades of expertise across aerospace programs. She is also a passionate advocate for diversity in STEM, serving as an executive champion for Boeing’s LGBTQ+ employee alliance, and aims to inspire the next generation of women in STEM.

Tina Stember

Tina is the Director of Operations at instaCOVER, a subsidiary of One80 Intermediaries, with 17 years of experience at the company. Tina oversees the development and maintenance of a user-focused website, collaborating with business development managers and programmers to support a robust point-of-sale insurance platform. In the Insurtech space, Tina's role centers on identifying opportunities to enhance platform functionality and improve user experience. Guided by a commitment to innovation and integrity, Tina helps deliver reliable, cutting-edge solutions.

Software Engineer, Mojang Studios

Kirsten Springer

Kirsten Springer is a software engineer at Mojang Studios in Redmond, WA, where she works on the Realms Client team to enhance the in-game experience for Minecraft Realms players. A fan since “the early days of Minecraft”, Kirsten's journey into programming began with game modding and continued as she joined a FIRST Robotics team in high school. As a member of Team 5549, Gryphon Robotics, she became captain of the branding and outreach efforts, leading the team to win an award for Imagery in her final year. Passionate about blending engineering with creativity, Kirsten pursued a double major in Computer Science and Game Development at the University of Utah. There, she contributed to the award-winning indie game Wretched Depths and other projects. After two years interning at Microsoft working on Excel, she transitioned to Mojang Studios.
