2012 - Bowled Over!
Once again our all-girls team, the Heat Misers, out-shone their brother teams at competition, demonstrating that a little extra focus on up front design, careful planning, and a cooperative spirit will triumph every time. In addition to winning the Connect Award at both their regional competitions, their creative ball pickup design, aka "Swishy Swishy" and effective branding won them strong alliance partners in the finals and high points with the judges. They ended the Mill Creek regional competition just one spot behind the top ranked team, with a competition win and a place in the State championship.
The team had another great day at State with some exciting action scoring bonus points in the endgame by pushing the bowling ball onto the ramp. They didn't claim a second win, but had a great time. Congratulations, Heat Misers!
2011 - Get Over It!
4434 The Heat Misers, is our teams all girl team. They did great this 2010 season. They had an amazing and crazy design for their robot. It was so crazy they couldn't make all of it completely work but nontheless, it was an impressive design, and it earned them an award at the Tahoma regional. The put in some effort and got it better running after they found out they were headed to State.
They had the good fortune to get one of the lottery admissions to state. Their good fortune continued all day at state, and they made it into the elimination tournament. Picked by one of the seeded teams, 4434 played hard and it payed off. Their alliance captain was able to make it to the World Championship thanks to their efforts!
